Chesapeake Lighting Associates do not sell directly to the public; they are an intermediary between the manufacturers and companies who select, design, or purchase such products. This would include, but not be limited to, architects, engineers, lighting designers, interior designers, electrical distributors, contractors and building owners.

Their primary area of coverage includes Maryland, the District of Columbia, and adjacent counties in Northern Virginia, which accounts for most of their business. In addition, they represent a limited number of manufacturers in adjacent counties in Delaware and West Virginia. Their office location is well situated to cover this area. They are located in Columbia, MD, midway between Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC.
